Vertebrae is an individual project about depression.
As a student dealing with depression and PTSS I was conflicted with my emtions towards my teachers and classmates. With this project I wanted to give them the responsibilty to take care of a little piece of me in hope they would understand my struggles a little bit more.
The plaster mold of my body was cut in to pieces and taken by classmates and other people of my school. I asked them if they would want to take care of the part they got and try to grow something on it. Mold, plants, mushrooms or anything else was fine.
After a few weeks I collected the parts and made a cave of plastiv and presented them.
While being in the cave you could see the body parts, smell the mold, feel heat, see projections and also listen to some text I wrote.
